Season's Greetings! Hope you've been having the jolliest of Decembers. If you've been finding it tough to get into the spirit so far, I have good news: It's finally here! This year's original song is called "Midlife Christmas" and it's a collaboration with underground Portland legend Jesse Hamlin (QT Anon, Internet Beef, Shannon Entropy, etc.). Jesse has an infectious low-key glee about him, and when he asked me to collab on a pop song earlier this year, I answered with a resounding YES--as long as he was cool with it being a Kitschmas carol, of course. We started getting together for some slow-going writing sessions, but after the concept was established, the melody started to come together, and we were on our merry way. Jesse amazed me with his abilities on guitar, in music theory, and in recording! He really put in a lot of work and dragged the sleigh home on this, to bring one and all the magic of a Murray Kitschmas. Enjoy and please share with your friends and fam!
